The Dolphins: Kingspoint Swim Team
Kingspoint is a member of the Virginia Peninsula Swim Union (VPSU). We are a summer swim program in Williamsburg, VA that provides youth the opportunity to learn about competitive swimming, sportsmanship, and being part of a team in a fun, healthy and competitive environment. No previous swimming experience is necessary to join our team
Welcome Kingspoint Swim Team Families to the 2009 Summer Swim Team Season!
We are excited to get started and thrilled to be able to invite you to the brand new clubhouse facility on Saturday, May 2nd at 3:30 PM for the Dolphin Team Start-Up meeting. Come learn about changes we’ve made to facilitate your family schedule and finances.
If you are interested in the team but can’t make the meeting, please email us at kpswimteam@gmail.com and we’d be happy to provide you information about the team and about signing up.
We have a small swim team which is great in that all of our swimmers get to compete, but it also means there is room for more. Please let your friends know about our great team and new pool clubhouse facility, and invite them to come along to the meeting for information as well. We will be offering a membership incentive to those swim team families who help get new swim families* registered as Dolphins for the 2009 season! This will help build our team and help your pocketbook.
Also, as another way to help curb the cost, we are hosting a Dolphin Car Wash! The car wash will take place at the pool on May 9th from 10 AM – 2 PM. We will be selling tickets for the car wash for $5.00 per car and applying a portion of the proceeds from the car wash to the Dolphin Swimmers who participate as part of their membership fee. VOLUNTEERS can sign up for a shift by emailing to our new address: kpswimteam@gmail.com! We will have 2 shifts to cover. The first shift is from 9:30 – Noon, and the second shift from Noon – 2:30. As it turns out, this is the same date that Kingspoint is doing a neighborhood yard sale and so we are hoping to have lots of car wash traffic. We will be selling Car Wash tickets at the Kingspoint Grand Opening the day of the swim team meeting as well. If you or anyone you know would like to buy advanced tickets or buy a ticket as a donation, email us at kpswimteam@gmail.com and we will send tickets directly to you.
Additional changes for the 2009 season include:

· Child care and transportation opportunities
· Pre-season swim lessons (free to members)
